This week in Art we were learning about different drawing techniques we used crosshatching to create a Scottish Thistle. This linked to our new topic all about Scottish Landscapes and mapping and we watched a helpful video.
Fleming enjoyed their house afternoon and watched part of Toy Story 4 with some popcorn and juice.
In DYW, Learning for Sustainability (LfS) made natural artwork using natural materials we had collected from outside. Have a look at some of our pictures! Hannah’s group made a bird on a stick. Finlay’s group made a tree! Dilraj’s group made a tree with a bird’s nest on it.
The digital technology group learned how to program their Spheros and they made them cry, burp, sing and dance! It was very impressive.
In PE we started gymnastics. Mrs Lamont showed us how to set up the equipment safely and we had different stations we could move round to. For example, we had a balance station where we had to use our balancing skills to walk across upturned benches and then we had a wedge where we could do a forward roll off the bench. We also got to jump onto a springboard and had to vault over the box. It was lots of fun!!
On Friday we were learning more French with Miss McKendrick. We were learning about family members in French, mum in French is ma mere. We were singing some French songs and speaking in French. We also read a French story and had to translate it into English.
