On Monday we had our Christmas show, we were nervous and excited about this but we put on two brilliant performances.
In writing we created Christmas poetry and we were trying to use similes and metaphors and create an AABB rhyming pattern.
In art we have created Victorian houses by looking at different Victorian architecture and using line to create these shapes and patterns. We are going to use water colours to paint these and then go over them with black pen to highlight the detail.
We were comparing modern school to Victorians school and we feel very lucky to be at school today! We were researching using different books all about the Victorians and we started to create infograms about an area of our choice. Some of us looked at Victorian fashion, Victorian transport and Victorian houses and schools.
We have also been painting ceramic Christmas tree decorations for our Christmas craft and are looking forward to being able to hang them on our Christmas trees.
Turing have been learning about Roman numerals and we created a Roman numeral mosaic, it has been fun!
Euler have been working on word problems involving weight. We are going to keep working hard on this.
In ICT we are learning about internet safety, we have started to create presentations about this and we have been learning about age limits on apps. It is very important we know how to stay safe online. Miss Gourlay said if we ever create password we should always have a capital letter, a number and a punctuation mark in it so that our password is very secure.
