This week we have been comparing schools from the Victorian times to modern schools. Girls had to wear dresses and boys had to wear blazers and woollen jumpers. We feel very lucky that we can go to school today!!
We have been working on our Christmas show and are looking forward to presenting it to our friends and family.
In ICT we have almost finished presenting our slideshows to everyone. It has been a good experience to stand up and talk to an audience so that we are building our confidence!
In writing, we wrote a diary entry about a day in the life of a Victorian child. Some of us wrote about school and some of us wrote about our jobs. We had to try hard to include thoughts and feelings.
Euler have been learning about weight. We were estimating and weighing objects, converting kg and g and we have been learning to read different scales.
Pythagoras have been using their knowledge of multiples and factors to complete tricky multiplication calculations.
On Friday we went to our last skills academy of the year. We were very excited about all of the activities we were doing. Some of us made a town, a worry monster, finishing plastic bottle pencil cases, creating Christmas decorations and cards from paper straws and using Scratch. The Design and Manufacture pathway visited the P2&3 and P6&7 group as well so that they could see the progression of skills within the pathway. We got to share what we had been doing with everyone.
