In maths, Pythagoras have been learning about different types of angles for example acute, obtuse, right, straight lines, reflex and full rotations. Euler have been working on their place value knowledge of five digit numbers. Turing have been learning about compass points and directions moving clockwise and anti-clockwise.
In writing we created Halloween poems and were trying to use an ABAB rhyming pattern. It was good fun.
We have created Victorian timelines this week to show key events that happened in the Victorian era. We created a human timeline and then worked together in groups to create our own.
In Science we started to learn about the digestive system. We were learning how our food travels from our mouths through our digestive system. We started to label the key organs involved to the digestive system and are learning what each one does to help our digestion. We learned that the medical term for throat is oesophagus!
In Health and Wellbeing we were learning about how smoking can impact our body. It can turn your teeth and fingertips yellow, it can create tar in your lungs and make you look older.
