We are all very colourful today in our Fair Trade colours. We are looking forward to seeing all of the exciting homework tasks that are due back on Wednesday. The fair trade focyus group did an excellent job in assembly this morning giving us lots of informations.

It is also Global rights day today and we have been comparing what we eat with a little girl called Linjeni! It is not fair how little she has to eat and we have all learned how lucky we are to have such a choice of foods!

This week in Primary 2 we have been learning about…

In ICT this week we were learning how to get onto our e-portfolios. We also worked out how to change the font and colour of our text in our ‘all about me’ page. Corinne

In maths this week Mrs Robertson’s side were continuing to learn about carrying tens. We learned by listening to the teacher and trying it out ourselves. Lucy G

In maths this week Mrs Grubb’s side was learning how to estimate calculations by rounding. We learned by listening to the teacher, played games and had a go. Alex and Ava

In science this week we were learning about different types of energy light, heat and sound. We learned by watching a PowerPoint and working in a group where we shared our ideas. Cameron

In maths this week the Time group were learning about the months of the year. We learned by playing games and singing songs. We also learned how many days were in each month and we learned about a special year called a leap year that happens every 4 years. Rory and Naomi

In language this week on Mrs Rattray’s side we were learning how to do joined up writing. We learned this by looking the pattern and copying it. Emily C

In language this week Mrs Grubb’s side have been continuing to do paired reading. This has allowed us to read harder texts together. We have been reading Cudweed’s Birthday and answering questions on it. This has helped us get the best answer when we work together and look back at the book. Jessica

In art we have been learning how to mix secondary colours. This week we learned how to make green using blue and yellow. We also learned how to change the tone by using white and black. Calum

In drama this week we were learning to act by playing a game called Shazam! It was good fun getting to beat others with our special powers. Lily
