Although it has been a short week we have been learning lots in Primary 2 this week.
In topic we were revising all the things we had learned about our five senses. We had to make a mind map showing facts for the different senses. – Alexander, Emily C and Farhan
In ICT we were logging into GLOW and learning how to get into our e-portfolios we even started to update our ‘All About Me!’ page. – Lucy G
In maths on Mrs Robertson’s side we were learning how to show numbers on an abacas. – Emily C
On Mrs Grubb’s maths side we were learning how to round numbers to the nearest 10. We played a few games to practise our new skill.- Alex and Emilia
In maths today we were also using our mental maths skills. We played Round the World and Ava and Farhan were ‘on fire’ beating most of the class! Well done
Naomi was working on her problem solving skills and practised these on a number of different problems. She used different strategies to help her. She drew pictures and used cubes. Some were harder than others!
In language on Mrs Grubb’s side we were learning to scan for keywords. We then had to complete a split task where we had to match up the beginning and end of different sentences. We then had to order these in the correct order that they appear in the story. The ‘Cat in the Hat’ group did an excellent job! Well done. Jessica and Corinne
Also on Mrs Grubb’s side we were correcting a story that had no punctuation at all! We found it very hard to read the story so we had to add the full stops and capital letters.
In language on Mrs Robertson’s side we read a letter from Cinderella’s Aunty and we had to fix the punctuation as it was all wrong! Cameron
