In Science we have been learning about electricity and creating circuits. We learnt the different symbols for components in a circuit so we could draw circuit diagrams, then spent the afternoon experimenting by creating different circuits using batteries, bulbs, a switch and wires.
“It was really fun when we were making the light bulb light up and even though it was quite hard we never gave up, and managed to get it right.” – Calum
“We are trying to make the bulb as bright as we can” – Ruairidh
“We were working out how to light up the bulb” – Marcel
“We tried to make the bulb shine as dull as we could by moving the wires into different places.” – Max M.
“We are trying to bulb the bright as we can – we had to use three batteries.” – Iain
“It was really fun watching the light bulb light up and if you had more light bulbs, they would just go darker and darker until it didn’t light at all.” – Jessica
“I think it was fun because we got to play around with the wires and see what would work and what wouldn’t.” – Harry
“We are mad scientists!” – Max F.
“It was fun but it was quite difficult because one of our batteries was the wrong way around.” – Tom
“It was really interesting seeing how if you had not as many bulbs, they were brighter.” – Emily B.
“It was quite interesting but it was quite difficult to work out where the wires would go but we managed it!” – Areeb
“It was actually really interesting because we learnt that putting more wires between the bulb and the battery didn’t make any difference.” – Olivia
“We were trying to light up one bulb as bright as we could and the other as dull as we could. We used one switch, three batteries & three bulbs.” – Saif
“I enjoyed trying out different circuits.” – Hassan
