In Health and Wellbeing we have been learning about fixed and growth mindsets. We looked at the values and beliefs of people with different mindsets and filled out a questionnaire to help us see what kind of mindset we had. We also watched videos to give us a better understanding of what these mindsets were like.
In Literacy, the Editors and Illustrators have both started new novels. We have been looking at figurative speech, including simile, metaphor and personification, that is used in these; we also identified different word choices, such as onomatopoeia, and how and why the writer had used these.
This week, several members of the class were interviewed for the role of Senior Prefect. We are looking forward to find out who was successful! Mrs Slorach, Miss Bishop and Mrs Faulkner were incredibly impressed with the thoughtful applications that everyone sent – well done!
Today (Friday) is dress as you please day. We could all choose to dress in our own clothes and brought in a present for the Christmas Fair.
