Parents sharpened their food preparation and cooking skills at the Cook Along Master Class last week. The pupils really enjoyed sharing their learning and said they were going to help with Christmas Dinner!

Busby Primary and Nursery Class Inspection Report
Busby Primary are pleased to share the recent joint inspection report by Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate. We are very proud of all our achievements and we will be celebrating the release of the publication at the mince pie and carol evening tonight at 6.30pm – 7.30pm.
Thank-you to all the parents and other partners who volunteered their time to speak to the inspection team.
P2/3 Toy Sale – Monday 15th December
Primary 2/3 will be holding a toy sale on Monday the 15th of December to raise money for Yorkhill Children’s Charity. We are asking people to donate any unwanted toys and books they have to our sale. These should be brought to the P2/3 classroom this week. We ask that any donations are in good condition. If pupils could bring up to £1 on Monday to purchase something from our sale it would be appreciated. Thank you for your help in raising money for a very special charity!
Cluster Badminton
Well done to the badminton team. They came 2nd at last night’s cluster tournament.
I Love Clarkston Event
The school choir will be performing at the “I Love Clarkston Christmas Extravaganza” on Saturday 22nd November, 3.00pm. We know they’ll put of a fantastic show!
Finance Week
This week is our annual Finance Week. The pupils will be continuing to develop good money habits and there will be visitiors in from Barclays and the Construction Industry Training Board to support the learning in this area. There will be profitable pound challenges throughout the week and pupils will be planning enterprise inititives for the Christmas Fayre. Any money raised by the pupils will be used to buy additional Maths games for their class.
P4b Assembly – Thursday 20th November

Kimberley Renicks Visit
Kimberley Renicks, Judo gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games, came to visit the school today. She told us all about winning the medal and about the importance of respecting your opponents. She started Judo when she was four years old. As well as answering questions, she also demonstrated some throws and holds with her assistant, Neil. What an inspiration!
