Parent and Community Involvement

At Busby Primary School, we involve parents and the wider community in a variety of ways. This enhances the learning experiences of the children,  engages parents in their child’s education and helps to build and sustain our local community with Busby at its heart.

P2 took the Harvest contributions to Hawthorn Court and the Choir also performed there at Christmas.
Pupils, parents and staff took part in the Glasgow Santa Dash at Christmas.
Members of P7 laid wreaths as part of the Remembrance Day Service at the Library.
Visiting the local shops as part of our Maths lessons.

Developing skills for life. Our friends from the bank came to talk to use about financial skills during the Finance Week.
Parents led workshops for pupils and other parents during our STEM week…
…and grandparents enjoyed the Science Fayre too.
We also had local MPs taking part.
Glasgow Science Centre presenters enriched our learning.
