Today we had a visit from Dawn who works at SSPCA. We found out that SSPCA will rescue every animal from domestic to exotic. They will also try to rehome animals.
Did you know it is against the law to be cruel to animals?
We pretended to be judges and guessed at what punishment should be given – banning the person from having animals, jail for 1 year or £40,000 fine.
How do you know when a pet needs rescued?
you will hear them bark, howl, scratch at walls or door, strong smell coming from the house.
Dawn told us the SSPCA will put cello tape on the door to see if someone is coming to the house. If the cello tape is not broken they will phone the police and ask for a warrant to rescue the animal.
