Primary 3a have been learning about The Gun Powder Plot. Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up King James I when he was in the Houses of Parliament. Just before he carried out his plan he was discovered with 36 barrels of gunpowder. Guy Fawkes was captured. He was tortured until he confessed and then he was hung.
We celebrate Guy Fawkes’ plan by lighting bonfires and setting off fireworks. Sometimes we even put a model of Guy Fawkes on top of the bonfire. We celebrate this day on the 5th of November.
This week, we created a mind map of notes about Guy Fawkes. Then we worked in groups and created information poster all about Guy Fawkes.
