Primary 5 visited the Secret Garden to find some inspiration for their writing lesson. They used the setting to write some wonderful poetry using amazing adjectives and super similes. The children are very proud of their Senses poems!

Maths Week Scotland
Maths Week Scotland took place earlier in September and we enjoyed a fun week of exciting maths activities. This included orienteering and a scavenger hunt with a mathematical theme. The children also enjoyed having a “blether” about numbers!
Aaron – “I found it fun searching for all the clues.”
Adam – “I enjoyed working in a group.”
Muriam – “I enjoyed going outside to do maths.”
Superheroes!
We started the new session with a focus on Superheroes. The children have enjoyed being creative and designed their own Superhero. They have worked effectively with a partner to create informative power points. As part of this work, we have studied Andy Warhol and his colourful “Pop Art”!
Ewan – “I’ve enjoyed being creative about my Superhero.”
Rebecca – “I loved designing my own Superhero and personality.”
Katie – “I think our Superhero topic was very creative.”
Rafay – “I enjoyed the Andy Warhol art.”
Emilie – “I liked the Pop Art. It was WOW!”
Welcome to Primary 5!
We have had a very busy start to the new term and everyone has settled in amazingly well into P5.
