Enterprise Planning

Pupils worked in small groups to plan their study of Enterprise. There was a lot of discussion about what they would like to find out about. Here are some of the most popular suggestions:

What are the most popular enterprise businesses?

What does enterprise mean?

What enterprise has been the most popular in 2017?

How do people make their products?

Are there any enterprise schemes?

Police Visit

PC Trainer, Campus Police Officer, came to talk to us about the work of the Police. He showed some of his equipment. PC Trainer carries handcuffs, a baton, a torch, a radio, a penknife, a notebook and a few other items.

PC Trainer handcuffed Mrs Ali and that was hilarious!

Goodbye Miss Boyd

Miss Boyd has been working with Primary 5 as part of her postgraduate degree in Primary Teaching. Primary 5 have thoroughly enjoyed having her in the classroom and we are very sad to see her go. Miss Boyd gave us some lovely gifts today because it was her last day.

We are always very keen to welcome guests into our classroom, so please contact the school if you feel you can help with our topics next term. We would also love to hear from anyone who uses their numeracy and literacy skills in unique ways within their employment. Giving these skills a real-life context really engages the pupils in all curricular areas.

Science: Vertebrates

Vertebrates

As part of our Science programme, we have been studying Vertebrates. We have researched different Vertebrates and created informative posters.

Vertebrates are animals with a backbone in their body. They are divided into five main groups: fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

I can identify and classify examples of living things, past and present, to help me appreciate their diversity. I can relate physical and behavioural characteristics to their survival or extinction. SCN 2-01a
