This week we’ve been looking at Victorian toys and comparing them to our toys today. While our modern day toys are mainly based around technology in some way, we found that some Victorian toys can actually be made by hand! We enjoyed creating our own peg dolls and spinning tops.
We also went outside, using chalk to create hopscotch and some of our own games, just as Victorian children would have done. While there, we took turns to use the diablo, another traditional Victorian toy. I think we all need more practise!
