Wonder
This week we got to go and watch a preview of the movie Wonder. We went to Glasgow Film Theater in the city centre.
Wonder is an adaptation of the novel by R.J. Palacio. The story is about a little boy called Auggie. He was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome and it follows him starting school.
We have looked at Wonder in class and have been doing lots of different work linked to the story.

Please see the attatched document for this week’s homework.
‘Fair Test’ Friction Experiments
P6b were investigating the effect friction has on moving objects through fair testing. They were experimenting with different surfaces and recording the time and distance each vehicle took to complete the experiment.
They also recorded each experiment on the iPad using the slow motion video tol so that they could watch their expeiments back to see if anything happened to influence their results.
Homework 30.10.17 – 03.11.17
Science – Forces (Friction & Air Resistance)
Primary 6 were learning that gravity is the main force acting on any falling object and maintains a downward motion by making parachutes. The moving objects (parachutes) slow down because of friction/air resistance.
