Primary 5 Update

Life has been very busy since the start of term. Please find  a selection of photographs below to give you a taster of Primary 5!

Primary 5 enjoyed taking part in PE indoors and outdoors.

Maths – Sudoku

We worked in groups to solve 6 by 6 Sudoku puzzles. I think we will be moving on to the 9 by 9 grids soon!

Primary 5 Homework W/B 10.9.18

Spelling –  Blue and Yellow groups will be issued with new spelling lists on Mondays and completed homework should be submitted on Fridays. The Nessy group will now work with Miss Innes. She will issue homework on a Tuesday and collect it back in the following Tuesday.

For this week only, simply choose one active spelling task to complete because it is Maths Week Scotland. Focus on your maths this week!

Reading – Read the relevant pages of your book for next Monday. Prepare one question to discuss with your group. What? Where? When? Why? Who? How? words are great question starters! Please write them down in your homework diary.

Maths

This week, it is Maths Week Scotland and we will be immersing ourselves in all things mathematical. Pupils have been issued with a list of activities to complete for Friday.  We are hoping to take part in Outdoor Learning on Friday so please send your child to school with a waterproof jacket and wellies or appropriate footwear.

Also, we are looking forward to welcoming Mr St Clair on Friday afternoon to discuss the importance of maths in his occupation.
