Facilities will be made available for you to lunch with your child in the school dining hall; if you intend to do this, please pick up your child from the nursery door at 11.30am and take them to the main school entrance where you will find the gym hall. Tables will be made available for you there.
Toilets
Please toilet your child before you meet back with the staff at nursery( P1 toilets will be made available on this day) . The bus is due to leave at 12. 30 sharp so we would appreciate your efforts to return to nursery to register your child for the trip at 12.15pm sharp.
We are sure we will all enjoy the day – thank you to everyone who offered to help on the day. As always it is very much appreciated.

Silver Award -Family Friendly Nursery
After our recent assessment, we have been granted a Silver Award as a Family Friendly Nursery. We are delighted that we have received this award. We would also like to thank our Parents who took part in the recent associated assessment; they were very complimentary about our service. Onwards and upwards and looking forward to achieving the Gold Award next!
We very much encourage and appreciate parental involvement in our nursery setting. Our planning tree allows us to gain insight into what your child enjoys outside of nursery and this ensures that we continue to be successful in meeting the individual needs of your child in line with the Getting It Right For Every Child ( GIRFEC) document. Please feel free to look at our planning document on the wall and place a leaf on the planning tree telling us about your child’s interests. We will then use this information to inform our future planning.
Information about future opportunities to become involved in our Nursery life can also be found in the newsletters and on our notice boards.
Christmas Concert
Our Christmas concert went really well with our Nursery children learning words and performing very confidently. Thank you to all the mums, dads, grans and grampas who helped the children to learn their songs for the concert; it made such a difference and I am sure you all managed to learn them too!! Ho Ho Ho!
A big thank you must also go to our special visitor on our Christmas Party day
S . . . A!!!
Have a great Christmas from all at Braidbar Nursery!
The Life of a Braidbar Butterfly…
Our first batch of butterflies have emerged from their cocoons a little earlier than expected!
We are soooooooo excited!
Liam – “They look beautiful!”
Noah – “Awesome!”
Olivia – ” They have beautiful wings!”
Jamie – “They can fly now!”
Luca – ” I am excited to see them!”
Ethan – “They’re coming out the cocoons!”
A cosy wee home…
We have officially moved onto stage 3 in the life cycle of our butterflies – the cocoons have developed and they are hanging upside down in our nets!
Isobel – “They’re not wigglin’ anymore!”
Murray – “I can’t see them – they are playing hide and seek.”
Freya – “They are sleeping.”
The caterpillars will stay, snuggled in their cosy new home for up to 2 weeks where they will then emerge as beautiful butterflies – we can’t wait!
We will keep you posted when we have arrived at stage 4!
