Silver Award -Family Friendly Nursery

After our recent assessment, we have been granted a Silver Award as a Family Friendly Nursery. We are delighted that we have received this award. We would also like to thank our Parents who took part in the recent associated assessment; they were very complimentary about our service.  Onwards and upwards and looking forward to achieving the Gold Award next!

We very much encourage and appreciate parental involvement in our nursery setting. Our planning tree allows us to gain insight into what your child enjoys outside of nursery and this ensures that we continue to be successful in meeting the individual needs of your child in line with the Getting It Right For Every Child ( GIRFEC) document. Please feel free to look at our planning document on the wall and place a leaf on the planning tree telling us about your child’s interests. We will then use this information to inform our future planning.

Information about future opportunities to become involved in our Nursery life can also be found in the newsletters and on our notice boards.

Kung Hei Fat Choy! – Happy New Year!

chinese new year 20.2.15 012

The Nursery was transformed into a themed-restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year.

2015 is the year of the sheep or ram. We found out that those who are born under the year of the ram are said to be gentle and calm.

Everyone ‘had a go’ at trying noodles and sweet and sour sauce with prawn crackers. It was a such a feast and very scrumptious!

Olivia – “The prawn crackers were the best.”

Maisie – “I had two bowls of noodles – I loved them!”

Thomas – “I didn’t like the sauce – yuk!”
