Learning about jobs and our senses

Haleemah’s mummy helped us to understand what our eyes do and how we can keep them healthy. She told us about her job as an optician too.

If you would like to come in to enrich experiences and support our learning in any way please get in touch.

“We need to be gentle with our eyes.”

“She does an eye test!”

“She uses a special light to see.”

“My grandpa wears glasses to see better.”

“I eat vegetables because they are healthy.”

Sports Day is almost here!!

This Friday Sports Day will finally be here and the children of the nursery are so excited!

The Sports Day will be held in the MUGA  – this is the running track at the top of the hill.

If this is your child’s normal Nursery day please drop your child as normal. If the Sports Day does not fall on your normal Nursery day please bring your child to the nursery entrance 15 mins prior to the start time.

The sports day times are as follows;

AM session is 11am-11.45am

PM session is 2pm-2.45pm

We kindly ask that your children have sun cream applied prior to attending Nursery and wear sunhats.

For those attending the day to support their child please head straight to the MUGA for the times stated.

Parents are permitted to take pictures of their own children, however we do ask that these images are not placed onto social media as they may contain images of other children.

If you wish to take your child home after the event you may sign your child out from the MUGA where the staff will have gathered them together.  We kindly ask you not to remove your child without informing a member of staff.

We do hope that you enjoy the sports day as the children have thoroughly enjoyed practicing for this event and cant wait to race for their families and friends.

Thank you,

The Nursery Team.

The nursery children (and teachers) have been preparing hard for our nursery sports day. We have been learning how to balance beanbags, run in and out of cones and of course we have been running as fast as we can for the flat race.

“I love to run and balance the bean bag on my head!” Maryam.

“I love running so much.” Justin.

“I like watching my friends run!” Ollie.

I like being outside. “Fraser.

Planting Day – Helping us to grow!

As the warmer weather is slowly beginning to arrive, we decided to hold a planting day to prepare our garden for the sunshine that will hopefully come!

We had lots of helpers to fill our pots and welly-boots with compost and put the plants in! We talked about how we would look after our plants and help them to grow with plenty water and sunshine being the popular answer!

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to join us on the day and we look forward to enjoying the beautiful flowers in the garden!

Please check our information screen in the nursery entrance for more pictures of the children enjoying their day!

” I liked planting the welly boots!” Maisie.

” I liked planting the flower seeds in the pot!” Aleeyah.

“I loved the mud !” Emily.

“I had fun planting all of the flowers!” Hunter.

” I had fun at the planting day playing with the soil.” Taha.
