We have been using highlighters to help us to find the answers in the passage!

Today in 2.8 we found out there was an extra golden ticket up for grabs! We decided we would write letters to Willy Wonka to persuade him that we deserve to win the extra golden ticket!

We have been creating our very own book covers including a title, illustrations and a blurb at the back!

In 2.8 we have been writing an imaginative story about a magic carpet! We loved working together to come up with ideas of settings and thinking of lots of different adjectives! We also watched a video clip from Aladdin to inspire us.

Today we used rainforest animals to inspire us to create different prints! We used interesting shapes and colours to create beautiful patterns. Some of the animals we looked at included the  red eyed frog, poisonous dart frog, Jaguar, tiger and the blue morph butterfly!

Today we have been writing an imaginative story all about a magic potion! We love story writing in 2.8 and using video clips to help us with ideas. 

Recently we have been learning about data analysis and tally charts. We decided it would be a good idea to create a tally chart all about our favourite pancake toppings. We suggested the toppings and then recorded the tally marks and total. We found out that the most popular topping was marshmallows and the least popular was syrup!

We loved doing weather reports and recording them on the iPads

during play!

Today primary 2 are learning to do writer’s craft. We have thought of lots of fantastic vocabulary to include in our storied to describe the setting. We are also having fun thinking of exciting storylines too!
