We had lots of fun this week playing maths games outside. We also learnt all about famous mathematician Escher & his fascinating tesselations. We then created our own tiling designs.

Using our literacy skills to skim & scan the First News to find an interesting newpaper article. Then we summarised the article & presented it. 
Remembering Queen Elizabeth II
We had a special memorial assembly looking at Queen Elizabeth’s long life & reign. We shared stories of our memories of the Queen whilst sampling cucumber sandwiches & shortbread courtesy of the kitchen staff.
Outdoor art
5.16 have each chosen a tree to visit this year & observe through the changing seasons. We had a lovely time looking at the texture and shape of our trees while sketching them out. 😍
