Inukshuks- Outdoor Learning

We have been using natural resources to build 2D and 3D                                                             Inukshuks.

“I preferred building the 3D because its not lying down. I had to build the stones on top of each other, which was harder.  It was important to choose the right stones to balance” Sean

“We build 2D Inukshuks because we thought it would be easier as it would take less time. We didn’t need to try and find the right stones to balance on each other. We could challenge ourselves next time to build a 3D one” Emma Ormsby

Making our own Wind Power!

Kristin-   “We had lots of fun sawing our wood.  We had to measure 20cm first and then mark it before sawing”.

Eilidh McVeigh ” We had to longer stick to use for our wind turbine”

Harry Rae ” It was fun to use the tools and make our wind turbines”

Hamish ” I chose lots of colours for my stick because I wanted it nice and colourful”

Hansel, Gretal and you…Who?

A comical retelling of the classic fairy tale with lots and lots of twists!

Hansel and Gretal have been turned into oven gloves and don’t know what to do! They go on a journey around the world, looking for food and some friends. After bumping into some sporting animals who just want to relay race, they fall into the witches’ kitchen and get trapped. Luckily, the Gingerbread Man has a great idea to save them, he’ll just need some help from….you!!!
