Bus journey was trouble free and boat crossing a bit choppy, but thankfully no sick bags were required. Cruise facilities could have been better but when you have as entertaining a bus driver as ours then who’d complain?
Arrived at 11.40am. 57 children, 4 staff and 100+ pieces of luggage! Goodness knows WHAT is in each case???
On arrival the pupils were faced with several difficult tasks.
Challenge number 1: How to lift a case the same height and 50 times their own body weight up a flight of stairs. Not an easy task…
Challenge number 2: Making a bed. How do we get a duvet cover on and do we REALLY need to use a bed sheet?
Pupils are now exploring their area in their groups and are looking forward to tonight’s spooky night walk.

Hope its not as wet on your nightwalk as it is in Bishopbriggs tonight. Luke should be good at putting on a duvet cover – he honestly does his own at home. I did have my doubts about him managing the holdall this morning when I had to get his older brother to load it into the car, but he assured me he would manage!!?? Not many guisers out tonight. I didn’t send a message to you last night as we got in late (but we were thinking of you all night and kept you lots of sweets!) despite the rain we had a good time.
John was dressed as 118, Lisa was a bingo ball, I finished Mahoney’s Dorothy costume (which went well, so I’m thinking of making a Toto one for next year) she had 5 of her pals and they all sang a great song for their ‘turn’. Aidan was a cool Vampire… we have lots of pics that you can see when you get home. Oh, nearly forgot! Molly was a tiger and sang ‘Witches of Hallow’een’ in every house we went to! She was brilliant!
