12th June to 16th June

We have been having lots of fun this week in the sunshine …

 

Parents stay and play Summer session …

Exploring lots of new climbing and balancing opportunities while outdoors …

We have started to try some of our produce we have grown such as lettuce and strawberries …

 

 

 

Week beginning 15/05/23

We have been using a variety of materials to mark make such as chalk,paint,pens, pencils etc. and are beginning to show preference for preferred hand.

we have been exploring various puzzles and jigsaws

while outside we have been practicing using scissors to make snips and cuts with loose garden parts.

Some of the children are starting to take part in role play with each other and are beginning to watch and listen to peers modelling play.

This week some of the children have been visiting the 3 to 5 playrooms for some transition visits and have enjoyed meeting new staff and exploring the new playrooms.

we continue to develop our independence skills at meal times and are developing an understanding of the daily routine

Week Beginning… 17/04/23

This week we have been enjoying being outside in the sunshine exploring the garden and all of the resources to play on.

We have been developing our fine motor skills while using the grabbers and tweezers in the sensory tray to pick up small parts

 

We have started our transition visits to the 3 to 5s room and have been meeting lots of new people and exploring new areas

 

we continue to develop our independence skills at meals and hand washing

Willow room March 20th to 24th


We enjoyed exploring the Easter play dough

we have been very busy planting seeds to grow some lovely sunflowers



All the children enjoyed exploring the Easter discovery tray this week and were feeling all the textures


We have been brushing our teeth and learning how to keep our teeth clean and healthy


This week we explored a variety of resources to mark make and draw with, such as crayons, paint, chalk, pens and pencils.

Willow room 13th-17th March


We have been learning about our personal hygiene and the importance of brushing our teeth. We have our own personal toothbrushes that are kept in the toothbrush train! 🦷🚞

We have also been exploring with play dough and pasta, transporting them into our new kitchen to make dinner for our friends and the ladies! 🥙 👨🏻‍🍳🍳

We have also been developing our creative skills using a variety of construction and art and craft materials to build and create. 👷🏻‍♀️🎨🧰

Week beginning 20th Feb

This week we have been exploring lots of various resources to balance on such as the wood and pipes to make our own obstacle course while playing outdoors.

We have been very busy planting seeds in our garden and looking at what is going to be growing. We will watch over the next few weeksthese grow and take care of them watering daily.

Indoors this week we have been enjoying using the raised walking boards to balance and jump from developing our gross motor skills while taking part in physical play indoors.

 

5/12/22 to 16/12/22

The last couple of weeks  we enjoyed lots of Christmas and winter activities ….

Dancing around the Christmas tree

Singing Christmas songs around the tree.


We used some Christmas decorations to create our own tree with loose parts


Drawing pictures with a variety of colours of pens 

 

we had a very yummy Christmas lunch with all the trimmings

we have been practising lots of Christmas songs and rhymes

we have all been taking turns to open the advent calendar and have a special treat

Week beginning 7/11/22

 This week we have been enjoying physical outdoor play in the garden


we have been developing our independence skill’s practising putting on our own shoes and wellies

We had lots of fun following a dance video to head shoulders knees and toes

While learning all about light and dark with the weather getting darker, we all worked together to make a stary night painting on the window, lots of children were able to name and identify the stars moon and sky.

This week in the Willow room … w/b 3-10-22

We have been busy working together to make some calming sensory bottles this week and enjoyed watching all the things moving around inside.


We helped make playdough and enjoyed choosing what colours and smells to add into it. Then used a variety of tools and cutters to explore it.

Lots of Autumn loose parts have been available for the children to explore in the Tuff tray and they have been using them to fill and empty from various containers.

Durring meals and snacks the children have been learning how to self serve their own food with some support where required, They have been loving the independence and choice they have while doing this.
