World Book Day – Thursday 4th March

To celebrate this day, we are asking that pupils in P1-3 and the Hub come in dressed as a character from  a book or comic.  Please can it be a simple costume with NO accessories (due to COVID restrictions) and whatever you have in the house.  *Pupils don’t have to join in as it’s just a bit of fun.

Pupils learning from home are also encouraged to join in and post a photo of their costumes on their Class Teams.

There will be a competition running that day for the Top 3 funniest places to read and winners will be announced on Friday 5th March.  Where is the funniest/strangest place to read a book?  Get creative!  Photos will be taken of P1-3 and the Hub pupils within the school and grounds.  Again we’d encourage Home Learning pupils to participate and post their photos on their Class Teams or if they want them to remain secret then email them directly to the Class Teacher.

I hope that everyone will take part and I look forward to seeing how inventive you can be with your reading places.

Back in School

back to schoolIt has been brilliant to have all our P1-3 pupils back in their classes! All the pupils had big smiles 😁 yesterday when they arrived though there were a few sleepy faces🥱😴  (not just the staff! 😂)

They have had lots of fun getting to see all their friends and classmates again.   We have been busy catching up, playing maths games, finger painting, constructing, reading funny stories and solving secret letter/picture codes as well as learning/revising the vital steps for handwashing via Cosmic Yoga.

Hopefully it won’t be long before we can welcome back all our P4-7 pupils too! 🤞
