Homework Tuesday 8th – Friday 11th October

Homework for Primary 3/4 will be  posted here on a Tuesday. Pupils will be issued with their digital passport to take home, which will include the log in details required for homework tasks set. Please keep this in a safe place.

Each week the homework guidance will be a similar format. The tasks will link with current learning or will be revision of previous learning. The aim of the tasks is to develop the learners fluency in numeracy recall and reading.

Please note the order is for guidance only – tasks can be completed in any order. If your child is becoming overwhelmed with any of the tasks please stop and take a break. Each task should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

Tuesday 8th October

In class we are reading Flat Stanley as a class novel and this week the children will bring home ‘Flat Stanley’ for an adventure.

As a class we have posted Stanley to various locations around the world in the hope that he will reply to us about his travels.

It is hoped that Stanley can join in with your family on daily activities or any trips you have planned. If you wish to email any photos or updates of Stanley on his travels they can be emailed to:

chelsea.dumigan@eastayrshire.org.uk

Pupils can also bring in a photograph of Stanley or speak to the class about his adventures after the October break.

Wednesday 9th October – My village research sheet.

Details are on the back of the sheet sent home. This can be brought back after the October break.

 Thursday 10th October – Numbots

Log in to Numbots and refresh your numeracy skills.

Friday 11th October –Enjoy the October break!

Monday 30th September – This is the last day of September. Research some popular days coming up in the next month.  Are there any special saints days? A celebration? What season are we now in? What month is next? What changes will we see in the next few weeks? Discuss with an adult.
