Homework 24th – 30th September

Homework for Primary 3/4 will be  posted here on a Tuesday. Pupils will be issued with their digital passport to take home, which will include the log in details required for homework tasks set. Please keep this in a safe place.

Each week the homework guidance will be a similar format. The tasks will link with current learning or will be revision of previous learning. The aim of the tasks is to develop the learners fluency in numeracy recall and reading.

Please note the order is for guidance only – tasks can be completed in any order. If your child is becoming overwhelmed with any of the tasks please stop and take a break. Each task should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. 

Tuesday 24th September- Monday 30th September 2024

This week is Maths Week Scotland.

Maths Week Scotland is a week-long celebration of all things mathematic based.  It will run from Monday, 23rd September to Sunday, 29th September, with this year’s theme being Maths Tales. During the week you’ll discover the often overlooked mathematics in our daily lives.

Tuesday 24th September – Times Tables Rock Stars.

Log in to TTRS and compete in the ‘Scotland Rocks’ competition to be in with a chance of winning some exciting prizes. You can play for a maximum of 1 hour per day and the aim is to answer as many questions correctly to increase your score.

Note: The 1 hour cap does not have to be played in one go. We will be using this during class lessons for a short time also. 

You can have a go at ‘Scotland Rocks’ each day if you want to boost your score.

Thursday 26th September-  European Day of Languages

Monday 30th September – This is the last day of September. Research some popular days coming up in the next month.  Are there any special saints days? A celebration? What season are we now in? What month is next? What changes will we see in the next few weeks? Discuss with an adult.
