Midweek update.

It was a cold and frosty start for us as we went outside for some inspiration for our winter diamante poems. We are proud of the first draft in our snapshot jotters and we are looking forward to word processing them next week. We enjoyed sharing and performing our poems to the rest of the class.

Later in the day we were using the maths manipulatives to help us visualise the calculations and explain our thinking .

Snapshot of Learning 27th November to 1st December

We kick started our week by learning The Canadian Barn Dance during PE. Great fun was had and it certainly woke us all up on a cold Monday morning!

Afterwards, we got warmed up for numeracy by completing one of our favourite mental maths warm ups ‘Estimystery’. We read a series of clues and use our knowledge of numbers to estimate the mystery number. We are really accurate with our estimates and can explain our thinking.

We have been busy completing our Christmas Art for the hall. We are pleased with the finished results and can’t wait to see the hall fully decorated.
