Dear Parents/Carers,
ParentPay
All S1 pupils as well as those in S2-S6 without active ParentPay accounts have been given login details for ParentPay. Pupils were given letters in school either today or yesterday. Please follow the instructions to create your ParentPay account. Please ignore reference to a second letter on biometric ordering as the online portal supersedes biometrics.

Dear Parents/Carers and Pupils,
We very much look forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Thursday 19th August.
Please find below some general information in respect of our return to school. Parents/Carers of S1 pupils can find information pertinent to S1 only at the end of this message but would also benefit from reading this post in its entirety.
Please also note that Linda McAulay-Griffiths (Head of Education) released a letter last week to all parents/carers via the School App. If you do not have the School App, then please download it for free from the app store associated with you phone. The App is titled ‘School App for Parents’. Once installed, please search for St. Joseph’s Academy, Kilmarnock. Both the ‘Messages’ and ‘News’ sections provide ongoing updates throughout the year.
After having read this letter, please direct any follow up questions to the general school inbox at the following email address:

Dear Parents & Carers,
We are very proud of the high standards of school uniform we have at St Joseph’s Academy and thank you as parents and carers for your continued support with this. Despite the challenges this year has presented and shops being closed for months, almost all of our young people are in full school uniform every day.
Please consult the guide below when purchasing school uniform items over the summer to help us further improve our uniform standards when we return in August 2021.

Dear Parents/Carers,
On behalf of the staff of St. Joseph’s Academy, I wish you a peaceful and relaxing Easter break. School is now closed and will not re-open until Monday 19th April.
Over the holiday period, we expect the government to release absolute confirmation of re-opening arrangements and will communicate those arrangements to you via the school app. We still anticipate that school will re-open to all pupils on a full-time basis.
Otherwise, school staff are now on annual leave and will not respond to general enquiries until our return on Monday 19th April. In an emergency, we advise that parents/carers use the contact us page on our website to get in touch with senior staff.
I also attach a letter from Linda McAulay-Griffiths (Head of Education) wherein confirmation of two additional in-service days is shared with you. The additional in-service days are Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd June. The Scottish Government took the decision to grant secondary schools two additional days in light of the workload associated with grading SQA courses this session. These in-service days do not apply to primary schools or ECCs.
By way of a reminder, between the 19th of April and the final day of the school term (Friday 25th June), our school is not open to pupils on:
Monday 3rd May – Local Holiday
Thursday 6th May – In-service Day due to elections
Monday 31st May – Local Holiday
Tuesday 1st June – Additional In-service Day due to demands of SQA course assessment
Wednesday 2nd June – Additional In-service Day to demands of SQA course assessment
We very much look forward to seeing our pupils again on the 19th April. I thank you for your support and would also like to acknowledge the excellent work of staff and pupils during what has been an incredibly busy and demanding term.
Kind Regards
Mr Kane
