At this time of year we begin to plan for next session and make decisions about our S3 Pathways. It is essential we complete this process promptly so we know which subjects we need to run next year, and to try to ensure as many pupils as possible get to take the subjects they require.

About this Event

The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills announced on 22 June 2021 the intention to replace the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and remove the function of school inspection from Education Scotland.   Professor Ken Muir, University of the West of Scotland, has been appointed to act as an independent advisor to the Scottish Government to consider and advise on the implementation of the reform and consider all functions currently delivered by both the SQA and Education Scotland.
