Qualifications Scotland Results Day 2026

Please find below important information shared with all QS Candidates this week.

The email below is for the attention of all pupils who sat at least one QS Exam during April & May 2026. You will also receive a QS Certificate if you achieved any National 2-4 qualifications during the 2025/26 session.
Dear Qualifications Scotland Candidates,
Please find some important information below regarding your QS Results.

QS Results Day 2026
Your QS Certificate will be delivered to your home address on Tuesday 4th August 2026. The QS will send the certificate to the address the school holds for you.

If you have moved house or changed address, you must inform the school office as soon as possible and provide up to date address details. Otherwise, your certificate will go to the wrong address and you will have to pay QS for a replacement.
We recommend you sign up to receive your results by text and email at My Qualifications Scotland
Appeals

You have the right to appeal one or more of your exam results if you wish to do so. Appeals are free of charge and involve a review of the marking of your exam paper(s). Alternative evidence such as your prelim result, estimated grade or class test scores are not considered by QS in the Appeals process.
You do not need to call the school, attend school or make contact with any staff to appeal a grade. The appeals service opens on Tuesday 4th August at 9am. I will email you the link to submit appeals, once it is open.
Priority appeals are for candidates who have a conditional place for university or college, starting September 2026.
You can read more about QS Appeals here

Things to consider
The outcomes from a marking review can result in a grade going up, staying the same or going down.
You cannot request an appeal if you submitted Exceptional Circumstances for that exam.
The appeals service is based solely on a review of the candidate’s original materials which were marked by Qualifications Scotland. No additional evidence will be considered.
Changes to school subjects following QS Results
There will be an opportunity to make changes to school subjects based on QS results if you do not achieve the grade you hoped for, or achieved a better grade than expected.
I will email a Microsoft form that you can use to request an options change. There will also be an opportunity for pupils to come in to school on Monday 17th August or Tuesday 18th August to discuss options changes in person. I will confirm the date/ time for this before QS Results day.
Remember that some options changes or combinations will not be possible to the column structure, and that some QS subjects are already full. This means that not all requested options changes will be possible.
If you wish to change a subject, you must use the form I send you or come in to school in order to do this so that you can return to school on Wednesday 19th August 2026 with an accurate timetable.
Thank you,
Mrs Marshall
