Dear Pupils and Parents/Carers,

Almost all pupils should now have their timetable, and any not yet in receipt of their timetable should receive it tomorrow via email on Glow.

We have shared further guidance with pupils in relation to accessing Google Classrooms and Teams on their mobile devices, which we strongly recommend, as notifications can then be picked up on phones when work is issued.

By way of summary the following information is of note as we change timetable:

• We will share a directory of access codes for Teams and Google Classrooms tomorrow via the website, facebook, twitter and school app
• Most Advanced Highers are not timetabled at the moment, and will not be until we can collaborate with the other schools in our locality. This usually happens in June of each academic year
• S3 pupils may notice periods of ‘Literacy’, ‘Numeracy’, ‘Leadership’ or College provision. These classes will not run online and in some cases appear as placeholders in advance of planning in June. Pupils need not worry about this
• S2 pupils may notice double periods of Drama, HE or Computing (ICT). This is not an error. In order to facilitate double periods used to support cooking in HE we are using rotations next session. For now, the rotation will show the subject being studied until mid October, at which point it would rotate with the other subject (ICT is only used in a small number of rotations, it is mainly HE or Drama which will show twice or not at all on timetables at the moment).
• Where College applications are unsuccessful, we will conduct interviews at a later date to establish what will replace the school/college provision for those young people who will no longer attend College.
• Having more than one teacher for a subject is not an error, as a number of teachers work part time and as a result some classes are split between two staff
• Levels on S4/S5/S6 timetables are not usually indicative of a presentation level at this stage. Only Maths, English and Science (S5/6) will show a level that currently applies to the class group
• Caritas will appear as RE for S6 pupils
• Any additional qualifications we can offer will be shared in June once our staffing for session 20/21 is confirmed
