Well done to Cara McConville and Amy Sharpe who represented the school at the Kilmarnock Rotary Young Musician Competition.
In the Instrumental category, Cara performed Meditation and Schindler’s List on the violin and was praised highly by the adjudicator for her playing.
In the Vocal category, Aimee sang Still Hurting and Journey To The Past and we are delighted to share that she won her category. This means that she will progress to the District final in the new year.
Well done to our S5 singers – Amy Baillie, Holly Ross and Sarah Wark – who performed some Christmas songs as part of the Kilmarnock Christmas Festival. It was a cold afternoon, but they kept shoppers’ spirits raised with their festive renditions.

Senior Wind Band’s ‘reconnecting’ session
“Stewarton bands have entered a new, exciting era with both the junior and senior band having restarted. The band is eager to place an emphasis on the pupil’s voice this year and build upon the strong sense of community that Stewarton has always prided itself on. As such, we welcome the establishment of the band ambassadors – Cara, Katie, Annabel, Grace, Sarah, Jenna and Sophie – who are excited to take on this role and reshape the band to its former prestige.” Grace McDade (S6)
