P1/2/3 – Children’s Mental Health Week Day 4

Hi P1/2/3 πŸ˜€.Β For day 4Β of children’s mental health week we are going to beΒ focusing on feelings and emotions. We are going to draw our very own dream catcher. Inside the dream catcher we are going to write any negative thoughts or worries that we have and outside the dream catcher we are going to write everything that makes us happy and grateful.Β

P1/2/3 – Lucy’s in Lockdown

As you all know this week is “Children’s Mental Health Week”. It is so important to look after your own mental health and wellbeing, especially during the current pandemic. We all miss our friends and family but it won’t be long until we can reunite again, which will make it all that more special.

‘Lucy’s in lockdown’ is a story about a girl called Lucy, who is living through a lockdown – just like we are right now! However.. Lucy is a little different to us as her hair changes colour depending on how she is feeling! She has her daily struggles just like the rest of us but she focuses on the positives and knows that is OK to feel down sometimes. Get yourself comfortable and have a listen to the story. I hope you enjoy it! πŸ™‚

P1/2/3 – Children’s Mental Health Week Day 3

Happy Wednesday everyone! For day 3 of children’s mental health week we are going to be embracing the ‘express yourself’ theme. There are SO many ways to express your feelings and emotions and one of those ways is by dancing!
Have a listen to the song below and dance along any way that comes to mind when you hear the song playing! Make sure and get someone to video you for your blog or email it to your teacher!πŸ•Ί
If you don’t feel comfortable dancing have a listen to the song and make a colourful poster telling us how the song made you feel. On your poster have “I feel..” then whatever emotion you feel when you hear this song!😊

P1/2/3 – Children’s Mental Health Week Day 1

Hi P1/2/3, for the first day of Children’s Mental Health Week the focus is ‘All about you!’. Sometimes it is hard for us to talk about ourselves and what we are good at, so we are going to give it a go today!
I would like you to make a poster all about you by drawing a picture of yourself. Around the picture write the following things:
  • What you are good at
  • Your favourite things about yourself
  • What makes you unique and special
All of you are unique and very special in your own way. If you are struggling with some things to write down ask someone at home as I am sure they will have lots of super things to say about you! Make sure your poster is bright and colourful too!
Post a picture of your poster on your own blog😊.
