Happy Book Week Scotland!
This year’s theme is Friendship. Characters in stories can seem like friends to readers, so the English Department and Library are running a Guess the Character competition.
We’ll be showing some examples during PS time during Book Week Scotland as a wee warm up.
If you want to enter the full competition, ask Miss McGill in the Library or your English teacher for an entry form.
Entries with all 5 answers correct will be put in a draw to win an Amazon voucher (kindly donated by the English Department). 10 runners up will also win a wee prize.
Closing Date: Friday 28th November
Book Club runs on Monday lunchtimes in C1-33. If you want a quiet, cosy place to read your favourite titles and recommend books to others this could be the space for you.
eBooks on Glow
The school eBook collection is always available through Glow.
Look for the VLeBooks tile on the School Launchpad.
Most VLeBooks can be read with the online reader in Glow. Some can also be downloaded and read offline using the Adobe Digital Editions app. Create an account with your Glow Mail address.
