Ghostopolis by Doug TenNapel

Imagine Garth Hale’s surprise when he’s accidentally zapped to the spirit world by Frank Gallows, a washed-out ghost wrangler. Suddenly Garth finds he has powers the ghosts don’t have, and he’s stuck in a world run by the evil ruler of Ghostopolis, who would use Garth’s newfound abilities to rule the ghostly kingdom. When Garth meets Cecil, his grandfather’s ghost, the two search for a way to get Garth back home, and nearly lose hope until Frank Gallows shows up to fix his mistake.

The book was brilliant. K.S. (S1) *****

It was a really good book because of all the characters. I loved the character Beth Winters. RW (S1) *****

After Obsession by Carrie Jones & Steven E. Wedel

After Obsession is no ordinary paranormal romance, with alternate chapters written by two authors – Carrie Jones and Steven E. 9781408818275Wedel – who present the story from both the boy’s and girl’s point of view. Aimee and Alan are two teens who are in touch with spirits. But after a misguided experience with a ouija board, their friend Courtney invites a ghost into her life… one that doesn’t want to leave. Can the two friends exorcise Courtney’s demons, and their own? A great read for Maggie Stiefvater fans aged 12 and over.

It was very good and interesting. RF (S2) ****
