Week Ending 26.09.25

This week in Health and Well Being, we were doing first aid and learning about the importance of the recovery position.  We practiced putting each other into the position so that we will be confident to do it if we ever need to help someone in real life.

In writing we have been focusing on Descriptive Language. This week we were thinking about how we can show our readers how people are feeling, rather than simply telling them. Here are just two of the fabulous pieces of writing that we produced.  Well done to Brooke and Kayla for their fantastic work!

Weekly Round-up 05.09.25

What a busy week we have had in P7.

In Science we made our own sedimentary rocks.

In Social Studies we have been learning about Democracy and our government.  On Thursday we learned what democracy means and then did a group task based on the differences between a democracy and a dictatorship.  On Friday we started looking at the different levels of government and researched the local councillors for our Ward in East Ayrshire Council.

In PE, we are continuing to develop our jump rope skills and have started linking footwork together to make our own skipping routines.  We also got the big ropes out and had a go of jumping in and out of them.

With all this busy work we definitely need some chill time too, so we make sure to include a bit of E.R.I.C. time every day.  This stands for “Everyone Reads In Class” and is an important part of the Reading Schools award that we are hoping to achieve this year.
