It’s been another busy week for us! We started off by introducing ‘Active Spelling’, our new spelling approach. It has been a hit so far with the class. New spelling homework activity grids were sent home in order to encourage learning in a range of ways. I apologise for the messy options…all in the name of learning! We also focused on persuasive writing within literacy.
We spent some time watching video clips from the series ‘Blue Planet’ to help us with our topic research. I can’t wait to hear all about your projects during your solo talks on Tuesday!
We also began to look at volume in maths and enjoyed using concrete materials to work out the volume and surface area of a range of shapes.
In health and wellbeing, we discussed online safety and how to determine if the content we are seeing is age appropriate. Everyone approached the subject with great maturity, which led to a fantastic discussion taking place.
Charley and Kodi used their well-earned privilege cards to lead a lesson on cavemen for 15 minutes. We all enjoyed learning a cave man dance!
On Friday afternoon we chose to have choosing time outside with Primary 5. We played football together and enjoyed being creative with the scrap resources.
We all wish Charley a happy birthday for Sunday as she turns 12!
Achievement this week:

Well done everyone! Have a lovely weekend,
