Children in Need πŸ»πŸ’›

On Friday 15th November we came to school in our pyjamas to show our support and to raise money for Children in Need πŸ’› we used our leadership skills to complete Pudsey themed activities and crafts with P1/2. We also enjoyed a whole school pyjama dance party in the afternoon πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ•ΊπŸ»

This week we have also been participating in an archeological dig in the village, we will update our progress and findings next week 🧐

We have also all been given our roles for our school nativity and will be working hard to learn our lines and deliver a fantastic performance 🀩

East Ayrshire Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to our 4 children from P6 and P7 who were chosen to represent the school at the East Ayrshire School’s Cross Country Event at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena last week. All of the children said that they enjoyed the experience and finished mid-field in their individual races.

Well done to Eilidh, Zakk, Lucas and Hannah! !

Happy Halloween πŸŽƒπŸ‘»

Primary 6/7 had a great day coming to school in fancy dress for Halloween πŸŽƒΒ we spent the day hosting and participating in Halloween themed leadership activities with P1/2 and completing Halloween artwork that is proudly displayed in our class. Pupils then enjoyed a Halloween party in the afternoon πŸŽ‰ here are some photos of our day:

Robert Burns Transition Information

All Primary 7 pupils transferring to Robert Burns Academy in August 2025 will attend two transition days in June 2025. Dates for your diary are the 10th and 11th June 2025. Any pupil taking part in this session’s Enhanced Transition programme will be issued a calendar of dates in a separate letter.

Staff from the Academy have already visited the P7s and will be making further visits to meet the children throughout the session.

Parents of all P7 pupils will be invited to attend an Information Evening on the 26th May 2025. Further information will follow.

Outdoor Learning 🍎 26.9.24


The class participated in an outdoor learning experience in our school garden. We were able to learn and try out the process of making our own fresh apple juice πŸ§ƒ first we learned how to cut the apples safely, we then crushed them in the grinder (being careful to keep fingers well away!) then squeezed out the fresh juice through the juicer 🍏 those who wished to then had a taste, the flavour was strong but very nice 🍎

Weekly Update 13.9.2024

This week we have been practising our football skills in PE, here are some photos of us making the most of some good weather ⚽️

Pupils in the class will be supporting the MacMillan Coffee Morning this year both in the hub and in the school. We have created posters to advertise both, look out for them in the school and in the hub β˜•οΈπŸ’œ
