This week has been our first full week back at school, and what a busy week we have had.

We have started our new novel study, ‘Wonder’. We completed our prior knowledge about the book, using the front cover and blurb to help us. We also wrote down all the best advice we would give to Auggie for starting school for the very first time in 5th grade and displayed them in these balloons.

As well as this we are working on using different spelling strategies to improve our spelling. We also completed our piece of writing – The best part of me…

In maths we have been working on place value and we have been learning to round numbers.

We looked at the rights of the child to help us create our class charter and drew these wonderful portraits to put up around it.

To finish off the week we all set our literacy and numeracy targets for this term and uploaded these onto our e-portfolios.

The Primary 7s presented their captains speeches to their house this afternoon and everyone has voted. We can’t wait to find out who the new house captains will be.
