This week we were learning how to play the song Thriller at Strings. We have been revising our times tables in numeracy and have been working on our multiplication strategies.
We have been learning all about bacteria, viruses and fungi in science and completed our own science experiments.
Our P7 pupils had the Pipe band in on Wednesday afternoon and were learning to play the drums and chanter. We have started to wallpaper and carpet our model houses and are looking forward to adding the furniture and finishing touches soon.
For our writing this week, we were writing a diary entry from Auggie’s perspective, based on our book Wonder.
Have a lovely weekend!
This week a selection of pupils from Primary 6 and 7 took part in the East Ayrshire Sportshall Athletics competition. We went to the Athletics Arena in Kilmarnock and competed against different schools in a variety of different races and events.

We’ve had a busy week in P6/7. On Tuesday we restarted strings and a few of us have started to learn a different instrument. We continued to work on our model houses, we were focussing on our measuring skills and have been measuring and cutting the wallpaper and carpet to fit.
Today we visited the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock to view the Quentin Blake Exhibition. We were lucky enough to have an art lesson with Fiona, where we got to take it in turns to dress up and draw the different people in or groups. We also got to use different drawing materials such as Indian ink, charcoal and wax pencils.
