Our Week

P6 went on a walk with P1 to go pond dipping on Thursday. On Wednesday, P6 also participated in development session with our P5s and P7s. During this session pupils worked in groups to discuss our local community.  We have also continued to practice for Sports Day.

Our Week

This week has been super busy for us in P6. We have been learning how to write a persuasive letter and have began researching topics for our next persuasive piece. We have also continued to read our class novel. In maths we have continued to learn how to measure and name angles. We have been enjoying the sunshine while working hard on our Sports Championship activities throughout the week. We have also been spending some time with our buddies. Finally, we had a great time being Danger Detectives on our trip on Wednesday.

Our Week

P6 have been working really hard this week on their persuasive writing. We are have been learning aboht the different features of a persuasive text and have practiced using them in short pieces. We have been practicing for our Sports Championship, so far we have been doing the 100m sprint, the standing long jump and the vertical jump. Yesterday, we worked in pairs to examine a product of pupil choice that exists in shops currently. Each pair wrote about the good things about the product and suggested improvements that could be made. They then designed the new model of the product and wrote about the improvements they had made and how they would benefit the users of the products. Today we had an excellent discussion surrounding making and keeping friends. All pupils were engaged in various scenarios where they then discussed and shared how they might feel in each situation and what they would do if they happened in our/classes and school.
