Following our fantastic visit to the Science Centre yesterday, we decided to have our own version in school.
We got to take part in lots of activities making straw oboes, colour mixing and seeing how long we could make a ping pong ball float.

Week at a glance
What a busy week we’ve had. Here we are enjoying our electricity topic in science. We designed and tested circuits, making sure they had all the components to work.
In maths, we used play-doh to help us with division.
In literacy, we explored Scots language and completed a crossword in Scots.
Wellbeing Walk 🌲
Here we are on our first wellbeing walk of the year. There were a few huffs and puffs at the top of the hill…
Spelling
Today we tried something different. We muddled up the letters in our spelling words to see if our partner could unscramble and spell them correctly.
Multiplication
We have been working on our multiplication strategies. We have made arrays and equal groups.
Addition Building
Check out our addition! We built structures using the Denes blocks and worked out how much they would cost to make.
Halloween 🎃
Today we celebrated Halloween at Sorn. We saw some fantastic costumes and had a great time carving pumpkins and partying the afternoon away.
