Today we took to the playground for a health and wellbeing task. Mrs Connell asked us a series of questions and if we agreed or experienced it, we crossed the line. Some questions asked about hair colour, or talents and interests… others were a bit harder, such as if we had been bullied or experienced the death of a pet. We learned a lot about each other and said that when more people crossed the line together, we felt supported.

Maths Extra Challenge
RRSA Activities
Today our Rights Respecting School Committee got the whole school thinking about rights. They challenged everyone to look at all the articles and choose the 9 they thought was most important. This prompted lots of discussion and there were only a few groups who picked the same one. Then they had to choose their favourite right, explain why they chose it and draw a matching picture.
Well done RRSA Team!
Walk 500 Miles 👣
We kicked started our 500 miles challenge today as the whole school and some of our families joined us on the Four Farms Walk! We walked a whopping 4 miles each. With 33 people take part, we’ve already walked 132 miles!
What a fabulous start to our fundraising. Thank you to our young people and families who joined us.

Reading for Enjoyment featuring Quality Street
Today, at the start of our literacy lesson, we were asked to choose our favourite Quality Street and the reason why we picked it. Some of us chose the chocolate based on having tried them before, the flavour or even the wrapper.

Mrs Connell then asked us to choose a book from a selection and give a reason why. Some of us chose a book based on the cover, blurb, author or genre.
We pick books the same way we pick our favourite sweet treats.

Peer assessment
On Thursday, we shared our writing across the whole school. We wrote instructions on how to make the most disgusting sandwich. We certainly put Mrs Connell off her lunch. We peer assessed in pairs, then groups, using the success criteria and sentence starters to leave feedback.
