Today we visited the amazingly beautiful Sorn Castle. We enjoyed exploring some of the rooms including the drawing room, the bedroom of the late owner and the dining room.
Mrs Connell’s favourite room was where they hold the weddings. She was keen to get a shot of the huge pipe organ.
We had a look around the grounds where we got to see how the electricity is generated by hydropower.

Food Preparation
This week, we explored the different food groups. We played a relay race where we had to place each of the foods in the correct group. We then designed a sandwich for someone based on a given criteria. We had to be careful of allergies in particular.
Today, we made our sandwiches and enjoyed eating them. They looked delicious.

Science Morning
Thank you to Mrs Smith and Mrs Sewell for visiting us today and providing us with some amazing and exciting science activities.
We got to count how many drops of water we could fit on coins, make a clamp stand following the instructions and sort beads and pom poms by colour and shape.
We learned how to use different apparatus like magnifying glasses, the clamp stand, stopwatches, droppers, thermometers, measuring cylinders and tweezers.

Easter Fayre 🐣
What an afternoon we had at our Easter Fayre!
The school was packed with visitors to have a go at each of our stalls. Even the rain didn’t stop our Beat the Goalie or the popular Sponge the Teacher activities.
A huge well done to the children for organising the event and massive thank you to our families for coming along and supporting our fundraising efforts. Our grand total will be announced soon so keep your eyes peeled.
