Although this week has been shorter than normal it has still been very busy. P4/5 were very excited to paint their Ben Nevis paper-mache mountains. Please take a look at their amazing work below. The Primary 5 children were also very excited as this was their first week of swimming lessons which they went all the way to Cumnock for. Please enjoy this summary of the Primary 5’s visit to the swimming pool which was written by Alfie.
My Trip to The Swimming Pool With Primary 5
First we walked to the bus stop then we waited for our bus we got on put our seatbelts on and then stop in Auchinleck about 4 times and then stopped across the road to the Visions Cumnock. Then we got our swimming stuff on got a quick shower and then did a swimming test for group 1 and group 2. For the swim test we went to go the first one we did front crawl first and then back crawl going back and then the groups were chosen then we did a bit in group 2. We did a bit of front crawl with a board and then did back crawl and then we did front crawl without the board. Leighton told me that group 1 did practising breathing and then they did a couple of jumps. Then we got changed and went to the bus stop and waited for our bus Mrs Robertson went to the first bus but that was for Ayr. We were going to get the 50 bus to Kilmarnock that stopped in Catrine and then we got off the bus and walked back to the school. My honest review I would give it a 10/10 rating it was so good.
Well done Alfie and everyone else for their hard work this week. Have a lovely weekend!
