Term 4 – Week 10!

In between sports day and prize giving we have still been very busy in class this week. We entered another art competition, this time for the NHS. We had to have a go at recreating a beautiful Northern Lights scene. Take a look at the inspiration picture as well as some action shots below. They turned out lovely!

We also brought our fractions topic to an end by looking at placing fractions on a number line. We then also completed a fractions assessment to show what we have learned this term.

For literacy, we read the final chapter of our class novel Danny the Champion of the World and then completed a book review on it.

Can’t believe it is only one week until the summer holidays! Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Term 4 – Week 9!

What a busy week P4/5 have had! With it being Health & Wellbeing week in the school we have gotten to take part in a range of activities that help keep us active. For example a community walk, laser tag, a silent disco, various football activities and also practising for sports day. Take a look at some of the action shots below.

We also had a ‘design your own football kit’ competition to help kick the Euros 2024 celebrations off. Miss Paton found it very hard to pick only one winner, so take a look at our very talented 1st, 2nd and 3rd place holders below. Well done!

Term 4 – Week 8!

This week we have completed a few different art activities. On Thursday, we teamed up with Primary 3/4 and we had a go at drawing some sunflowers and we attempted to shade them using the colours of the rainbow. They turned out lovely!

Also this week, on Friday, we had lots of fun print making! We used a variety of materials to help us with our prints, some being more successful than others. We used various styles of wallpapers, string, polystyrene that we scored and rollers with different prints on them. Take a look at the action shots below!
