We are still practising our persuasive writing skills and this week Primary 4/5 wanted to ask Mrs Govans for a ‘Yes Day’ before the end of term. Do you think we will manage to persuade Mrs Govans? Do you think we will be able to keep our promises? I think everyone doneĀ a pretty good job!
For health and wellbeing we looked at peer pressure this week; we looked at positive peer pressure, negative peer pressure and gave lots of good examples of when we have been pressured into doing something we didn’t want to do. We then completed a short task on peer pressure to show our understanding of the topic.
For mental maths we were asked to complete subtraction questions using any strategy we wanted. As you can see below, some people chose to use the formal written method, some chose an empty number line and others chose adjusting for easier numbers/friendly numbers.
