Health Week

We have been taking part in lots of fun activities for Health Week this week.

On Monday we got to practise our football skills with Kilmarnock Football Club.

We were also learning about oral health and the importance of brushing our teeth.

On Tuesday morning we were food tasting and learning about different fruit and vegetables with Eddie and Amy from The Cotton Trail.

As part of their leadership P6 pupils organised some great circuit stations for us in the playground in the afternoon.

On Wednesday we were learning about water safety with Richard from the RNLI and line dancing with Miss Brown.

In the afternoon we went for a class walk to the river to practise our photography skills and take photos of the natural environment.

On Thursday we were learning about fire safety with firefighter Gerry.

We then got to build dens in the playground with our families and enjoyed eating our lunch outside. In the afternoon we got to take part in different ‘Busy hands, calm minds’ activities.

Mrs McKenna and Mrs Watt’s ‘Busy hands, calm minds’ group went for a walk to the Voes to feed the ducks.

We finished off the week with laser tag and a silent disco.

As well as all of these great activities, Primary 4 have been busy making and selling popcorn cones as part of their enterprise project this week. The pupils have all worked so hard and have made an amazing profit of £54.15 which will go towards an end of term class party. Thank you so much for all of your support.
